Welcome to musicLA & WebBands.com! Started in 1997 as an inexpensive way for Los Angeles-area musicians new to the Internet to have their music online, we are still here and contemplating the next move. Some past musicLA members have moved on to their own, unique websites (also designed and maintained by the Way Home media). Sometime soon (no, really, sometime soon) the site will be revamped to allow musicians, artists and music techs to join, upload and update automatically. The key issues include rates (it should be cheap, but FREE is always too good to be true, re: MP3.com), available services & options, support, payment options for selling CDs and/or audio files, etc. Once the new site online, new members will be invited to join.
